Evangelism Message from Council President (4-16-10):

To Pastor, Youth and Education;

We had a great meeting with the new evangelism/missions team and had a speaker with us from the Synod. One great spirit filled idea from the evening was evangelizing thru events that are important and open the door to people in exciting ways. Pastor Susan mentioned that VBS is a great tool. Parents are aware of the programming and it is a great outreach as families typically get involved with church to help with their children's walk and education with the Lord.

This is where I need your help. We could use a flyer for VBS that could be handed out to children and families. We are thinking door to door, 4H groups in our church, put up in community. We have a great new copier and some creative minds. We are going to put a map up at a church and want to identify some areas within our community and where our congregation lives to visit door to door to share the word. We could use volunteers and youth to help with this as community service. Please ask parents in Sunday school and confirmation if they live in neighborhoods where there are younger kids that we could visit or make sure they mark where they live on this map that will be posted at church.
