Serving Homeless Families With Children
in Central Minnesota

New Pathways website

We provide shelter to homeless families with children by partnering with area churches.

During the day the families go to work, school, or to the family day center where the families work on their plan to get back into a home of their own. New Pathways provides all of the basic needs for each of the families, such as:

  • Telephone
  • Computers with Internet Access
  • Laundry facilities
  • Personal Care Items
  • Shower Room
  • Transportation
  • Advocacy

Both Brainerd & Cambridge Site IHN have a Case Manager and Skills Trainer on staff to advocate and give each family the opportunity to learn skills including:

  • Budgeting
  • Parenting
  • Job
  • Healthy Living
  • RentWise

During the evenings and nights, the churches and their volunteers provide:

  • Private Sleeping Accommodations
  • Meals
  • Hospitality

When our families secure housing, they are given the opportunity to still access many of our resources for up to 6 months.
