The first weekend of December heralds in a great event here at Long Lake Lutheran – the Live Nativity production! The narthex of the church turns into the road to Bethlehem, and the sanctuary displays various scenes from the Nativity story including the inn, manger, and shepherd’s fields. All roles are played by members of the congregation, and animals of the congregation! Members bring live animals into the church to help truly live out the story of Jesus’ birth.
The Nativity story is performed the first Saturday of December for the public as well as during worship the following day. Special thanks go out to those who have helped build the set, act, bring in animals, and lead the production for over 20 years!
