Long Lake Lutheran Church belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and therefore adheres to the Lutheran theology which comes from this denomination. Inspired by the work of Martin Luther, we believe that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. And it is because of this freedom through grace that we are able to love God and serve our neighbors.
Each Sunday we confess our faith using the words of the Apostle’s Creed stating our belief of a Trinitarian God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We also believe that the Bible is the written word of God which guides and inspires us through the work of the Holy Spirit to direct our lives by the example of our savior Jesus Christ.
Our ELCA Lutheran theology is unique from some other Christian denominations and we encourage you to look further into our beliefs on the ELCA website.
